What book, novel, or any literary piece touched you the most and why?

"The Freedom Writers Diary: How a Teacher and 150 Teens Used Writing to Change Themselves and the World Around Them."

Why? Because these are the works of high school students guided by a teacher named Erin Gruwell. Their influences were war diarists Anne Frank and Zlata Filipovic and the Holocaust. They chose to make a change in themselves and later on they were out there to battle against intolerance, prejudice and discrimination. These students have stories to tell and these stories are inspirational and influential for they can really have a big impact in changing the life of another person. It is one of the best books I've read.

"I have realized that we cannot completely erase all the evil from the world, but we can change the way we deal with it, we can rise above it and stay strong and true to ourselves. And most important, we can inspire others-- this is what makes us human beings, this is what can make us immortal. I hope this book will inspire people to write their own diaries, stories, poems, books, to fight prejudice and to choose to deal with what happens to them in a positive way, to learn new lessons and share them with othe people. This is for you, the reader, to consider, and I wish you good luck."- Zlata Filipovic on the last paragraph of the foreword of the book. :)

This touched me the most. :)

Give me your best shot! :)
