There are alot of closed-minded people everywhere. I have a chatfriend from Scotland who claims Sonic is real, and she doesn't accept the fact that Sonic is fiction. I have a acquaintant who is sadomasochistic who has no desire to hear what other has to say.
Enlightenment vs. Resistance.
I have been resisting to see their point that they may say that I am close-minded from their perspective. The only way is to acknowledge and accept them for who they are. In one of the messages of the latter I described in the 1st paragraph, I felt quite disturbed and that made me think, that I was in fact in the very same perspective of those reader who read these posts when I write negative thoughts.
The more you change them, the more they are closed-minded. They do not accept any help or inspirations from others because they realize that they want to assert the fact that they are who they are and nothing will change them aside from themselves.
All this time, I have been more manipulative than helping, which is horrible. Even you try your best to enlighten these people, it will never work. This is the reason why these people have very few friends. I admit that I was sometimes close-minded, but not all the time.
I hate being problematic to other people, I am just concerned and empathetic to other people. When will they open their hearts and minds and realize what kind of person they are? I don't know. They lack self-reflection and careful introspection. So, let me say to those people who are dealing with close-minded people, ACCEPT THEM as part of the society. Even you don't like them like this, they will not change unless they allowed themselves to and powerfully defend themselves.
Alot of people do not acknowledge the other perspectives, because they think that their perspective is the most important which is inconsiderate and asymmetric. I do this alot and never realized it. Really!
This closed-mindedness develops ignorance. They are trying to deny the facts and truths. They are not skeptics.
Ignorance and Skepticism are different. Ignorance is illogical while, Skepticism is logical. They have this fantasy to stay in one ground for a very long time without external interventions. This makes them safe. If they are intervened by someone they will get hyperactively defensive with that person. They are defending their beliefs, their stature and their personality from undesired manipulators.
So, this is why they are closed-minded. Let them experience the realization of enlightenment themselves, only then, they will see the authentic happiness. In short. Let them be until they open up.

Superiority-Inferiority reflection

This is another reflection we must all be aware off. You must not feel inferior unless you allowed yourself to be inferior. Inferiority delays things thus actions are procrastinated. We wonder about ourselves when we feel inferior.
Inferiority = Egotism
Superiority = Altruism and Egotism
We are trying to find the faults of actions inside us, neglecting external forces and concerns which makes us apathetic. Apathy= a person who has no concern on the community.
Egotism becomes egocentrism. This egocentrism heightens public self-awareness into soaring heights in the same time our self-image and self-esteem decreases into the great depths of the ocean. And alot of people out there don't like egocentric people because they always talk about themselves. This makes interpersonal love conditional.
Alot of people are afraid to make mistakes. Like I said before, People are made perfectly but not made to be perfect. If we don't make mistakes and perfect almost all of the time, we wouldn't be able to discover the faults and improve well. If these people are afraid, then they have no means whatsoever to take any risks or opportunities. It will waste their time if they don't take risks. There are more inferior people than superior people. It is best to go out of your comfort zones.
So, that is why that that quote is true.

Revisitation to the Sucat Community
I came back to Sucat last Friday, the day after my recital. Recently, I had something like homesick. Not sure though. I have had colds and partially slight temperature alterations since the day after my arrival.

The reason for my return is the event of commemoration in the memory of my paternal grandfather Gen. Mayo who passed away on May 31, 2008, 2 days after the 2nd death anniversary of my guardian whom I call Uncle Vic.
Life goes on as it should happen, the time of mourning should not be interferred in the time of action.

This torturous epidemic is still growing to amazing heights. It is now in the Philippines.
We shall hope that this epidemic will not soar to something deadly. As I said in the previous post, this virus will re-mutate soon. The mutated form can never go back to the very same pre-mutated form again due to genetic complexities.
Surely the DOH (Department of Health) are doing everything to calm things down. The world will not lose against this epidemic and that is the ultimate assurance of affirmation.

Unfinished life and Finished Life
If I die today or very soon in my young life, I would like to let everyone know in my life that I was once a part of their life meaningfully. I would choose to be cremated and be contained in a urn. Death is very inevitable and time will never return. Once passed, never to be seen again naturally, Unless there is an artificial temporal intervention or manipulation.
I don't want to die for a mistake (like Rizal) but to die for a cause (like the martyrs of this world). I can sacrifice my life for my loved ones (if I have the courage to do so).
I want to experience all what I can experience in this lifetime without the illness of fear torturing me. I still fear death that I have no idea what the world be like.
I will not die for nothing but something massively significant. Anything can happen, we just have to anticipate the unpredictable circumstances.
When I die with a complete life, let my friends remember me for who will I bee in the future. My supposed future family will always believe and trust for what kind of man I will be.
After all, for every event there is a beginning and a end. After the end of that event comes a new beginning which is the beginning of a new event. So, there is this series of events that are chronologically infinite.
I will spend my last days confessing my faults to those people I painfully offended. Be open to new things that re-incarnation is a possibility.
Being a respected and a dignified person is what I want to be, not the future alternative self of gangstership. Let simplicity rule over complexity. Whether or not, all people are destined to die at the end.

Grand workshop culmination and reflections
Indeed, the workshop has culminated well with graduation. I knew I have done my best in the recital and it was fantastic. I didn't forget any lines but there are some very minor lapses.
I realized that on backstage I was gradually relaxing with my heart still beating fast. But as I went to the stage area, I subconsciously shift that nervousness with excitement and with confidence.
As sir Roeder said "Energy follows thought", so we received the energy from the dance workshop performance and we really did put that energy to a boost.
Now, I know that nothing is without an audience, but an audience makes a difference in the performance, because the energy of their presence is focused on the performers when they watch. I have felt that energy.
Between Easter Monday and yesterday, has been a memorable period for all the workshoppers. I told them this: "This will be our future memory which we will be reminiscing in a few months time."
I am very glad that I had a chance to know them all well. I am pleased that if I wouldn't be there I would not experience the epiphany of social comradeship, interaction and acting enhancement.
"Break a leg, Break a arm and break your neck". There you go, I finished the line where typical actors used to say.
I have a conclusion that Procrastination, Ningas Cogon (Initial enthusiasm transforms into final boredom), Laziness are the factors contributing to the workshopper's ability during the workshop. At the end there will always be a success with an audience. No matter how bad the critical period of rehearsals are, the show will always be great.
Energy is the motivator, breathing is the mean and the performance is the end. Without breathing, we cannot perform theatrically and vocally.
Even the closest moments with another person in the workshop is treasured with glee. That life one person must co-exist with life of another person.
To the workshoppers:
Always remember that Sir Roeder and Sir Onyl are the ones who transformed us into a magnificent butterfly of confidence through workshop metamorphosis. You helped me understand and grow in the journey of life. We as one unit for the summer, was a fairly trans-cultural interaction and definitely no lapses and some bad times. We pushed each other up to the sky when the others are down. These are the benefits of this group.
God bless you all and remember follow where your hearts tends to go and you shall meet your dreams with grace. Thanks for everything.

Rehearsals and the SHOW
Yesterday, we had the TDR (Technical Dress Rehearsal- A show with all technicalities involved.) The Dance workshop of Gantimpala is the front-act of the Musical Theater Workshop in the recital.
There are alot of lapses. Like not enough energy during the show. Because, we have to level our energy with those of the dance workshop. The TDR ended at 10:30 PM and I went home at around 11:15 or 11:20 PM.
Honestly, the instructors are not yet satisfied about our show yet. The thing I learned is that excitation and nervousness are the same mechanisms but with a different mindset. TONIGHT will be the show itself. I affirm the great success of this recital.
BREAK A LEG!!!

A tribute to Rizal with a piece of his literature connecting with mine. The quotation marks depict the actual portions of his poems.

A roller coaster week of goods and bads
The week, May 11 to May 16, 2009 is a week when I had my first experience of getting trapped in an elevator, buying an X-mini speaker and being deeply ashamed of showing the "Dedicated one" my latest poem here and finally, the rehearsals of the up-coming recital had begun coinciding with the discussions on the last years of Jose Rizal.
If you recall about my post on X-mini, you will understand. According to the receipt, I bought the X-mini on May 12, 2009 in Robinson's Manila for P1,200. It is very good, because it is very loud realistically.
I think, last Thursday was the day I felt really bad because I showed the dedicated one about my poem the night before. Here are the other reasons why I felt bad. I finally did acknowledge my faithful friends after the "counseling" with a comrade couple and a P.E. teacher at Luneta, near the Agrifina (AGRIculture-FINAnce) Cali Pulacu (Lapu-Lapu) Monument at the end of the horrible day.
I was trapped in an vintage or an antique Otis elevator in an apartment building with my ninang and the elevator operator. This elevator is not the modern type. It has a sliding door inside. Just like those elevators in some places in New York city. That sliding door has to meet the opposite side from the point of attachment in order to move. The cause of the mechanical malfunction is the drastic letting go of the sliding door, making us trap inside the elevator, more on the 6th floor than the 5th floor. I was so patient enough to wait. This happened at 6:00 to 6:16am of May 12, 2009.
The name of the recital is called "Luneta 2009", which obviously is based in Luneta. I have among the lead roles which is one of the balut vendors. I will show you the press release of the recital soon.
The day was very stressful because of shame, intrapersonal conflicts and guilt. I was traumatized (meaning, difficulty of coping up the distress).
1) Shame- because I felt bad to show the "Prophecy of Romance" to that "Dedicated one". I had misjudged the relationship of that someone and the other guy. I call that someone Lienne and the other guy, Brian. That would be my greatest mistake in the workshop.
2) Intrapersonal Conflicts- There are 2 forces existing in oneself (Objective Force and Obstacle Force). The Objective force is the force pushing oneself to the limit, while the Obstacle Force is pushing back to where I've been before. So, the Obstacle Force is usually stronger and it may eventually lead up to guilt.
3) Guilt- I am too guilty to show who I really am. (Other's typical advice is: Don't be guilty, because they are too busy of taking care of themselves.)

The biggest objectives are to score high in the exam and in the recital. I am on the process of memorizing the lines and applying from what I have learned from the workshop.
Honestly, you cannot be an actor if you have less number of experiences and have no knowledge of observations.

A Cinematic and enjoyment weekend
This weekend, I saw 4 movies. I stayed with my Dad and my cousins in Parañaque for the weekend. I suddenly realized that a community of people can prevent social isolation completely. They live in a village (Villa) in Sucat. I felt that unique happiness being with alot of people in a community. That is the basis of socialization. Start with the family, then to the community and finally to the over-all society.

2. Monsters Vs. Aliens
3. X-Men Origins: Wolverine
4. Awake
Here are my activities this weekend:
I had my Rizal class in the early morning and had the Meeting de Avance for the elections of the incoming Student Council. Indeed, they should take everything seriously. The bottomline or the foundation of leadership is from inside not out. They don't really possess critical thinking and some of them had to act charismatic to get the attention of the school. They also do not know that graft and corruption is embedded inside the Filipinos. It is all about cultural influences.
In the afternoon, I took an FX (Multi-passenger taxicab) to Sucat. My aunt and my cousins will be transferring to Los Angeles (The most expensive city in the US) soon. I have been visiting them all of my life and now this Era of the Choi's in the Philippines is about to end. It is time for them to move on. Their presence is significant because I can see that that family has the maximum potential to be a successful one in its climax. They have taught me alot (most especially their dad).
I have spent my afternoon in the departing Choi residence. (Except for Sir Mark who is already in LA). I showed Michael, the Cyriak videos here in the blog. Obviously, his reaction to these videos is "Weird". His brother, Aaron spent overnight in a friend's house (How I wish to experience this in an awkward environment). We saw "17 again" in Cinema 4 of Filinvest in Alabang, Muntinlupa (last showing for the day). I was clumsy then because I had brought too many things and spilled the pop-corn upon the singing of the National Anthem. LOL
Next morning, which is Mother's day, I spent my time at the Choi residence again watching "Monsters vs. Aliens". After which, I spent mostly my time with my Dad and Half-bro, Jeremy in his Speech therapy near ATC (Alabang Town Center). How ironic is it to spend your father in mother's day? Extremely ironic. My dad commented "This should have been father's day". Speaking of speech therapy, I was reminded by my dad that I had exactly the same thing in Greenhills, San Juan. I hardly remember it, but it was fun (I guess). So, it may be genetic because my dad had it too. After that we rushed to ATC to watch "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" in Cinema 5. My dad bought me a very large package of BBQ pop-corn and a large coke. Eventually, I have underestimated the size of that package, because it was too much for me. That became my Brunch (Breakfast + Lunch). Lastly I watched "Waken" at the Choi residence till around 5:15 pm. I had to go because I will have classes in the morning.
I will visit the Choi's at LA in the future predictably on 2015 or 2016 after my graduation.
Let me reveal that I have a doggy (Canine) girlfriend. LOL. Yeah. "DOGGY". A 1 year old dog with a breed I don't know. She is playful and she is one of the few individuals I would consider as a "Canine Confidant". She likes to "Kiss" me on the face and fingers. She is very friendly. This is why she is my canine GF. Weird, right? It is an extreme absurdity.
I may write my personal movie reviews on those movies I've seen, soon.

A Life lessons and the dilemma of early psychological adulthood
Choices makes us who we are and life is too short. We have to know what consequences of these choices and take the risk. Some choices may be dilemmas. Friendship and Education for the time being, are necessary. If you hurry your life to adulthood or having a love life early, well then, you will be regretting and forgetting how to live well. (Addition: Let me add that you will also miss all the opportunities of life as a single person. Even the most precious moments, you will regret it.)This is why we should focus on the "now". Naturalists believe that we are responsible for ourselves in action, in risks and in everything involving with life. It is all about time management.
Our minds are powerful, use it to control our body not our body controlling the mind. If you think negatively shift the mindset to something positive by visualizing something good, not deficient of something. Put grace into that goodness.

Social lapses
Tendencies of attracting aggressive people and repulsing great people are like lapses of socialization exerted negatively by the personality.
An example of aggressive people are those who gives threats or turning me down because of guilt.
An example of great people is the person I dedicate the poem to, whom eventually found someone else.
So, in the end, I am supposedly responsible for these things. I do not know true bliss nor everlasting enthusiasm. The SELF is the center of personality and control. Amateurly speaking, I have social phobia. That's all.
Hopes shall be high always for positivity is the river to the land of mercy and happiness. As a keen observant, I know the non-verbal cues of a certain interpersonal infatuative or romantic relationship.
First comes "Fear of Rejection", then comes "Fear of Intimacy". In order to be a simplier I have to realize self-love and get rid of these phobias through a certain therapy.
"You cannot know success without seeing failure."
"You don't know what's beyond the limits, unless you risk it".
These are the lessons I should understand, let it sink into my being.
We learn from each other and that's experience.

Admission of apologies
For those who are offended for my selfish defenses, I would like to apologize for the self-serving bias. I admit and am ashamed to be a hypocrite.

I tried re-thinking into a positive perspective. Authenticity of oneself is knowing who you are, not what you do. Indeed, that website- Emotional Competency, is the simpliest website that relates to different aspects of psychology.
It is a great motivation to read this. Myriads of factors creates a world that is really meant to be unfair. There are times that we cannot control these factors for we are going against nature.
I am saying that biases, prejudices and discrimination are one of the problems in human nature that can't ease the conflict of all. Unless we train ourselves to THINK CRITICALLY.
CRITICAL THINKING is the only way we can assess ourselves and the world properly. Unfortunately, there is only a very few people who thinks critically. I can say that Kant and Wittgenstein are 2 of the fellow few.
It should be taught at school because aside from logic, critical thinking can help us efficiently in life's situations.

Generation Y people are drowning in technological havoc. We take advantage of this technology. We tend to be lazy and stubborn. We should realize that this will be our own world soon.
It is easier to say it than to do it. That is a problem for most people. We don't do what we say rather we do what we say. That's what I call hypocritical inconsistencies.

I tried re-thinking into a positive perspective. Authenticity of oneself is knowing who you are, not what you do. Indeed, that website- Emotional Competency, is the simpliest website that relates to different aspects of psychology.
It is a great motivation to read this. Myriads of factors creates a world that is really meant to be unfair. There are times that we cannot control these factors for we are going against nature.
I am saying that biases, prejudices and discrimination are one of the problems in human nature that can't ease the conflict of all. Unless we train ourselves to THINK CRITICALLY.
CRITICAL THINKING is the only way we can assess ourselves and the world properly. Unfortunately, there is only a very few people who thinks critically. I can say that Kant and Wittgenstein are 2 of the fellow few.
It should be taught at school because aside from logic, critical thinking can help us efficiently in life's situations.

Generation Y people are drowning in technological havoc. We take advantage of this technology. We tend to be lazy and stubborn. We should realize that this will be our own world soon.
It is easier to say it than to do it. That is a problem for most people. We don't do what we say rather we do what we say. That's what I call hypocritical inconsistencies.

PS: I asked someone in the workshop to describe me and she described me as someone mysterious. This me not being authentically me but trying to imitate or so.
